Big Car, Big Performance: A Personality That Only the 2013 Ford Taurus Can Project

There is no doubt that Ford has produced a lot of good sedans in the past but it is apparent that it has been progressing with the trends and focusing more  on other car varieties. This year, the last of its full-sized sedans, the 2013 Ford Taurus, is still available for us. There are things that would readily catch our attention when it comes to this type of car. It looks huge and has a wide stance.  However, we can never set aside the fact that it is beautifully designed and would really attract the attention of a crowd when it is on the streets.

A single glance at the new 2013 Ford Taurus would always give us a hint about its personality. The clear cut angles and its aerodynamic contouring bestows it that aggressive yet very modern look that we would not normally expect from a sedan. This model boasts of new external features such as a redesigned grille, LED lights, an attention–grabbing spoiler, and the double exhaust.

Most drivers say that the 2013 Ford Taurus is a reliable car on the road. It doesn’t perform like a sports car but it could provide a smooth and comfortable ride.  The standard engine that comes along with this model is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that gives out a satisfying 288 horsepower output. It can be an all-wheel or a front wheel drive.

Of course, Ford will never allow its cars to be left behind when it comes to technological features. The standard MyFord Touch infotainment system allows the driver to make use of connectivity features while on the road. There are owners who are saying the tech features of the car is a little complicated to deal with but with a little exploration it could be learned.

The new 2013 Ford Taurus is one of the safest cars that we could ever drive.   There are head and side air bags for both the driver and the front passenger. The child safety lock feature is there too.  There is a traction control and the electronically controlled stability system.

There are other full-sized sedans on the market now but it will be apparent that the new 2013 Ford Taurus will not be that hard to love.

The 2013 Ford Taurus Gets More Chiseled and Assertive

The 2013 Ford Taurus gains more attitude with a revamped exterior and added convenience features. What makes it even better than last year’s model is a new turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with EcoBoost® that improves fuel efficiency. The exterior gets a couple of changes for 2012 including a new grille and front fascia. The sharp and clean lines give the new hood and grille ample attention. It’s sportier and edgier.

The 2013 Ford Taurus comes in four body trims: SE, SEL, Limited and SHO. The entry level SE has 17-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights, automatic headlights and exterior access keypad. It is equipped with cruise control, blind spot mirrors, 60/40 split-folding back seat, tilt-and telescoping steering wheel and a 6-speaker audio system with CD and auxiliary jack.

Sedan car models are favored by a lot of people because of their domestic usability and their more than professional exterior designs which convey the tastes and status that those who drive them want to express in a clear manner. This then leads car makers to have their models fit the desires of the customers in both looks and function to inspire a very nice series of purchases. But the competition in the business tends to force makers to create cars that are unfavorably unbalanced in the effort to be distinct, which leaves a few like the 2013 Ford Taurus as the exception.

Sedans are most often judged first by their exterior designs, which is why many people can sacrifice models with superb functions if their looks are not up to scratch. This issue is absent with the Taurus since its sharply clean design is everything you could ask a sedan exterior to be. It is professional, with a more than obvious hint of fashionable style and a wide stance which conveys an owner with a firm attitude.

Settling with car interiors which simply do not meet high standards can leave a bitter taste in the mouths of even the most understanding of humans. Fortunately, settling is the last thing on the list with the Taurus since it is top of the class on every detail. Glamorously spacious, with more than enough amenities to keep you entertained and comfortable, you really cannot expect more.

When it is stated that the Taurus is a car that can be relied upon, that is no exaggeration. It is fast, but with the control to keep you safe and the efficiency in consuming gas that will save you a lot of expenses.
